Objet: Old links, overload issue

Dear Adolphe,

I have made additional mailout to our clients saying that the old links
would be cut off today, not on Monday. Have called some of them to ensure
they did reconnect. All the people I talked to did reconnect. I didn`t talk
to all of the clients, but most likely they did get the message. They did
get our announcements before. Even if they didn`t get it, they will contact
us once the old links are deactivated, that`s all.
So I think we`re safe to cut off the old links now. Please, do it ASAP - if
the datacenter`s engineers belive it could help. I`m actually not sure it
could help, because the clients shouldn`t normally use both old and new
links (why would they?), the overall traffic should be the same.

Please, note that we`d experienced problems during the exactly the same
time of the day both on wednesday and thursday - from 2 to 8 pm CET. This
leads to a logical conclusion that we have an overload issue here. The time
from 2 to 8 pm looks pretty much like the peak traffic time. Traffic
increases, the Datacenter`s lines get overloaded, this is it. All they have
to do is to reseve bigger bandwidth for us, haven`t they?
Please, let me know if you`re agree with this conclusion.
Thank you!

Looking forward to hearing from you, Adolphe!

Best,
Aleksey
